Home and all that. Made it through the weekend of hell. I have calcluated that, over a period from saturday morning to tuesday morning, I wrote 17 pages of essay, 800 lines of code, and got 16 hours of sleep. yay me.
Got home to find the new Live From the Archives album, which is pretty disappointing. There's a cool version of "Hey Girl" on there, and that Nickel Creek song that I never learned the name of before, but not a lot else to write home about.
I'm still rather tired, which may be apparent in the complete disconnectedness of these thoughts. Problem is, while I really should be using the vacation to catch up on sleep, it's much more fun to stay up until 2 in the morning hanging with friends every other night. We've seen "Animal House" and "The Big Lebowski." fun.
Good news is I've figured out what I'm going to get my roommates for holiday gifts. Bad news is my parents are getting on my case about excercise again. Good news is I've now got a TV in my bedroom, since mom turned it into her study/lounge in my absence. Bad news is I can't possibly take any more Marx Brothers for at least another month now. Good news is I'm writing my final expos essay on (I think) "Minority Report." Bad news is I need to come up with an actual thesis involving that movie that says something interesting about time and man's desire to master it. Suggestions welcome.
Seeing Rae again has, thankfully, not been awkward at all, although Dad has decided to start up the jokes about my hair being ruffled all the time again. Not entirely sure what that's all about.
I've got this hankering to play Mario Party, of all things. Failing that, I'm trying to figure out what happened to our disc for the Journeyman Project Turbo. It's been far too long since I've heard that music.
Huh. Now that I think about it, I love the music for all my favorite games. That's never *why* I love them, but I always end up really liking the soundtrack in and of itself. Journeyman Project, Starship Titanic, Monkey Island, Banjo Kazooie/Tooie... huh. cool.
Okay. Can't think of much more to say. Going to go salvage lunch from party detritus... brie, crackers, and spinach dip, here I come!
