hey, don't get me wrong-- I love Tom Petty too. When I got his Anthology collection, I listened to it almost continuously for an entire week. But Chris Isaak is just, well, better. His voice is better, the chord patterns are more sophisticated, his band has a more developed sound, and his lyrics are much more poetic.

Just my personal opinion
