I hate the fact that the Macarena is #1
Sep. 5th, 2004 10:27 pmI have just spent three and a half hours watching the complete run of VH1's "100 Greatest 1-Hit Wonders." I missed the first 1 1/2 episodes. Well, maybe not, but I definitely wasn't in the room when they were playing. I discovered that I already have 14 of the songs on my computer. That seems vaguely embarrassing, although I'm entirely unsure why. Maybe it's just residual embarassment from realizing that I spent three and a half hours watching VH1.
The worst part of the whole thing, though, was that somewhere around #35 or so, in the background of a commercial I heard a guitar riff I recognized instantly, but I absolutely could not place from where, or even remember any lyrics. This drove me batshit INSANE for the next hour and a half, until I went to my computer in a desperate attempt to place the music. I figured it out: can you? Or will you share my former pain? HAHAHAHA!!!
It occurs to me that I could actually post something of substance one of these days. Then it occurs to me that there are already far more gothy livejournals than the world will ever find constructive purposes for, including as kindling.
