APRIL FOOLS! Here you were, expecting a lack of update right on schedule, but I sure pulled a fast one on you! Hah!

Ahem.

Let's talk material possesions. I know I've been studying Buddihsm and all that, but it's my birthday in two weeks, so Siddartha can bite me. On April 15th, I will turn the uttely useless age of 19. I judge this to be not particularly noteworthy, but you should all fawn over me anyway, and possibly shower me with gifts and/or offers of sexual favors.

JUST KIDDING! Ha ha, got you again! I'm actually full up for offers of sexual favors at the moment. But gifts and money are still good.

So I'm on spring break, at home, and this gives my parents the opportunity to constantly ask me what I would like for my birthday this year. I know I want to go see the a cappella concert with Lizzie in New York, and I know I'd like another Sandman volume or two, but beyond that I'm utterly out of ideas. Mom and I were walking through Costco during our shopping run today and I just randomly grabbed a really cheap copy of Dungeon Siege (plus expansion) off the computer games table and said "I want this. Surprise me." Then I shoved it in the cart.

Part of the difficulty here is that I'm attempting to catch up on two months of sleep deprivation (including a nice little sprint to that end last Wednesday) in a single week. Oddly enough, I'm constantly tired despite getting hours and hours of sleep every night. I'm even trying to get to bed early, like by midnight, but the late hour keeps on cueing the entrance of the above-mentioned offers, so my brilliant plan is sabotaged. And so I wander the waking world in a daze. And fill out job applications for the summer.

Speaking of which, I have a really cool opportunity lined up that I'm not going to mention explicitly because of the chance of LJinxing it. Suffice to say that HRSFA people will find it very cool.

Also: I got an unbirthday gift from my grandparents of a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card... and their online branch sells Sandman collections for $14 each. This made me very happy, especially since I only needed to contribute $2 of my own money, after free shipping and Student Advantage discount, to pick up two books.
