Tales of patheticness

It should be stated that I worship Douglas Adams. Don't ask me why it should be stated, I don't know, I just thought that "It should be stated" sounded like a cool way to open a journal entry. Stop questioning my verbal idiosyncrasies, darn it!

Where was I?

I've been rereading the "official Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy companion" recently. I've only read it twice before, as opposed to the uncountable dozens of times I've read everything Adams himself ever wrote. And this time around, I thought I noticed something cool: I am very much like the way Adams was when he was my age!

I got very excited about this, and felt wonderful about myself. For about an hour. Then I was going to post a journal entry about it. And all of a sudden I realized how stupid it all sounded. My list of things we had in common, when I actually wrote it down, was full of things like "plays guitar", "likes to act", and "finds writing difficult."

I deleted the whole post and hid under my pillow for an hour in shame. Pathetic pathetic pathetic

But I really want to be as good as he was!
